Creating a thesis
Intent-first thesis creation — what makes a thesis worth publishing.
Before you click Create thesis
Ask: What makes a thesis worth creating? You need a novel causal claim, identifiable blind spot, D1→D4 chain, clear invalidation, and a time horizon.
The thinking process
1. Identify the catalyst (D1). 2. Trace the narrative (D2). 3. Pick the target asset (D3). 4. Consider ripple effects (D4). 5. Estimate blind spot. 6. Define invalidation. 7. Set resolution paths (Clean / Messy / Broken).
Two creation paths
| Option | Best for | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Write with AI | Quick drafts, idea validation | Paste one sentence → DEPTH4 drafts asset, direction, why now, blind spot, invalidation, resolution paths |
| Start manually | Fully formed ideas | Fill structured fields; DEPTH4 tracks news and updates conviction |

Tips for good theses
Be specific on asset and horizon. Explain why now. Define clear invalidation. Estimate blind spot honestly. Use AI draft as a starting point. Think D1→D4 BEFORE opening the form.
If you need three paragraphs to explain it, it is probably too vague.
